JON MENDELSOHN, M.D., is a facial plastic surgeon in private practice in Cincinnati , Ohio . He is medical director of the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center . He is also co-author of The Non-Surgical Facelift Book - A Guide to Facial Rejuvenation (Addicus Books, 2003).
Dr. Mendelsohn received a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from Syracuse University . He a tt ended medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center, Syracuse , and completed a residency there in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery.
Dr. Mendelsohn is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Mendelsohn is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery's commi tt ees on multimedia and new technologies and devices. He is a national trainer in the use of Botox and Restylane and a regional trainer in the use of autologous platelet gels. He has presented nationally at conferences on facial plastic surgery and has authored numerous papers and publications on facial plastic surgery.

WILLIAM TRUSWELL, M.D., is a facial plastic surgeon in private practice in Northampton , Massachusetts . He is medical director of the Aesthetic Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center , which he founded in 1976. He is also co-author of The Non-Surgical Facelift Book - A Guide to Facial Rejuvenation (Addicus Books, 2003).
Dr. Truswell received a Bachelor of Science degree from Hobart College , Geneva , New York . He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed a residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Truswell is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Academy of Laser Medicine Surgery.
He currently serves on the board of directors for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and is an oral examiner for the ABFPRS.
Dr. Truswell is a clinical instructor in facial plastic surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology, Department of Surgery, University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is also a medical consultant to Atrium Medical Corporation Advanta for ePTFE facial soft tissue implants. He is the designer of the Truswell Insertion Instrument for soft tissue implants, manufactured by Marina Medical Corporation.
Dr. Truswell writes articles on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in medical specialty journals, consults with other professionals for books on facial plastic surgery, and he lectures at facial plastic surgery meetings throughout the country. He has also presented a paper at the Royal College of Surgeons in London , and was a guest lecturer at an annual meeting of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

KRISTON J. KENT, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the medical director of Naples Facial Plastic Surgery, Florida. Dr. Kent serves as chairman of the Florida Board of Medicine Surgical Care Commi tt ee. He is a vice president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and sits on their Board of Directors. Dr. Kent also sits on the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Board of Directors and serves as an oral examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Kent graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he was chapter president of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society comprised of the top ten percent of medical students. He completed his five-year residency in head and neck surgery at the University of Florida and his fellowship training in facial plastic surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Cincinnati , Ohio .
Dr. Kent was appointed to the Florida Board of Medicine by Governor Jeb Bush in 2001 and was recently elected vice chairman of the Board of Medicine. Dr. Kent has dual board certifications by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Kent is regularly asked to speak and teach at national and international meetings. In 2003 he was guest lecturer for the Austral/Asian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Kent is a leading speaker on endoscopic facial surgery and autologous healing factors. He is a clinical associate at the University of Florida School of Medicine in facial plastic surgery.
