The Consultation
You will have a one-on-one discussion with Dr. Kent about what you would like changed, and how that can be accomplished. Dr. Kent enjoys the opportunity to get to know each patient as an individual. You will also meet with other staff members to discuss the procedures you are considering.

How will I look?
Computerized video imaging is included as part of your consultation. It can give you a realistic idea of the changes that can and cannot be accomplished with facial plastic surgery.

Surgery
Nearly all of our procedures are performed in the state-of-the-art surgical facilities at Naples Facial Plastic Surgery. Our facilities are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. This organization inspects medical facilities large and small to ensure that they are being run with the highest standards of patient care and safety. We have two operating rooms completely equipped to offer you comfort and safety. Our nursing staff specializes in facial plastic surgery and is there to offer you support and assistance. We respect your confidentiality with a private entrance for post-surgical visits.

Anesthesia
Most procedures are performed using safe and reliable twilight anesthesia. A highly qualified Anesthetist monitors you throughout the procedure. You will be able to return home the same day. The anesthesia used for cosmetic procedures is less likely to cause the common side effects associated with general anesthesia.

Autologous Blood Platelet Gel
Dr. Kent's addition of autologous blood platelet gel to many procedures has enhanced healing and reduced bruising. Dr. Kent has spoken about its effectiveness at many national meetings. Derived from your own blood, platelet gel carries no risk of contamination or infection. It has produced remarkable results for surgical and laser patients.

Insurance
Most cosmetic surgery is elective, and not covered by insurance. Ultimately, patients are financially responsible for their surgical charges.

Recovery
You will be able to return home following your surgery. For your safety, you will need a competent adult to stay with you the first night after surgery. If you would like, the staff at Naples Facial Plastic Surgery can arrange for overnight accommodations and someone to stay with you. Recovery from surgery varies depending on the procedure and each individual patient. This is one subject we will discuss with you during your consultation.

What if I don't live in Naples?
Naples Facial Plastic Surgery welcomes out-of-town patients. We are ready to help coordinate your surgery and recovery. In most cases, you will be asked to visit Dr. Kent several weeks before your surgery to complete plans for your procedures. In most cases, you will need to stay in the Naples area about two weeks following surgery for recovery. Naples has an abundance of hotels and we can arrange for care if needed during your recovery.
